Being Sunday, Sisters enjoyed a quite morning, allowing time for those preparing the various documents to keep working on their finalisation. The Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Stefano Canuto OSA, inviting us to give priority to our life of prayer. He reminded us that our mission will only be fruitful if we are rooted in Christ and rooted in the Word of God, which asks us as consecrated women to be faithful disciples.
In the afternoon we were blessed to have an encounter with our Lay Canossians and the Fratelli and Sorelle Canossiani. They challenged us to consider how we can perhaps explore new ways to walk together, concretely encountering one another. Through walking together will all facets of our Canossian family, together the charism entrusted to us by St Magdalene can come alive in even greater ways!
Sisters from various parts of the world expressed their gratitude for the presence of all those who collaborate with us as part of our universal Canossian family.
As Sr Mirella Fiorenti, the international Lay Canossians animator said, “the Spirit has called us to confirm and to work together with different vocations in the charismatic family, so that this family may have life.”
Our day concluded with a joyful time of recreation together after dinner. In a particular way we gave thanks to God for our outgoing General Council, as well as all those who have helped in various ways to enable the General Chapter to be such a wonderful time together.
