(Belagavi) – On 27th July 2026, the Literature Club of St. Joseph’s High School, Belagavi, successfully organized the Inter-House Drama Competition 2026, which turned out to be a memorable event. During the competition, dramatizations were presented on the lives of St. Magdalene of Canossa, St. Josephine Bakhita, St. Mariam Thresia, and St. Rani Maria. Each of the participating houses offered performances that brought to life the courage, faith, sacrifice, and selfless service of these great saints.
The houses that participated in this year’s competition were Red House, Blue House, Yellow House, and Pink House. Each team showcased remarkable talent, creativity, and teamwork, making the competition vibrant and inspiring.
The audience and the jury were impressed by the acting, the meaningful scripts, the colourful costumes, and the students’ confidence. Each presentation reflected great dedication, creativity, and teamwork.
The programme opened with a prayer song performed by the Bakhita Musical Band. Poetry recitations served as interludes between the performances, adding a literary touch to the event. The competition concluded with a solemn award ceremony.
The judging panel for the competition comprised of Tr. Mildred Fernandes, Tr. Maria Coutinho, and Tr. Kalpana Dmello, whose valuable time, expertise, and fair evaluation ensured the success of the event.
The occasion was enriched by the presence of the PTA members – Mr. Parvez, Mrs. Sonali, Mr. Monu Singh, and Mr. Nadeem – along with Sisters, Vice Principal Sr. Arogya, and Sr. Effie, Primary Supervisor, St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Sr. Shilpa, Professor, St. Joseph’s PU College, and other distinguished guests.
Sr. Lovita D’Souza, Manager, St. Joseph’s Convent High School, and Principal Sr. Antoneta Cardozo, St. Joseph’s Convent High School, encouraged the students and made the event truly memorable.
Through this competition, the school aimed to inspire the children to embrace noble values and follow the ideals of these great saints, making it an unforgettable experience of growth and learning for all.
