Welcome Home our dear Sr. Lydia Rubin, FdCC!

On the evening of June 25, 2023, Sr. Lydia Rubin, FdCC, our missionary sister from Sudan, Africa arrived safely in Manila, Philippines. She was warmly welcomed by Sr. Violeta Calingasan of Paco Community. The next day, she was greeted by Sr. Lilia Nuesca, FdCC, the Provincial Leader and Sisters of Paco Community. She recalled how she travelled with two companions, a Salesian brother and a Carmelite nun on the feast of the Sacred Heart in order to reach Juba, South Sudan where they waited for their airplane. She was very grateful to many kind and generous people both Christians and Muslims who provided her the assistance in her travel. She recognized the prayers of the Sisters and others so that she can safely return to the Philippines.

Bienvenue à la maison notre chère Sr. Lydia Rubin, FdCC !

Dans la soirée du 25 juin 2023, Sr. Lydia Rubin, FdCC, notre sœur missionnaire du Soudan en Afrique est arrivée en toute sécurité à Manille, Philippines. Elle a été chaleureusement accueillie par Sr. Violeta Calingasan de Communauté Paco, Le lendemain, elle a été accueillie par Sr. Lilia Nuesca, FdCC, la responsable provinciale et les sœurs de la communauté de Paco. Elle a rappelé comment elle a voyagé avec deux compagnons, un frère salésien et une religieuse carmélite en la fête du Sacré-Cœur pour rejoindre Juba, au Soudan du Sud, où ils attendaient leur avion. Elle était très reconnaissante envers de nombreuses personnes aimables et généreuses, tant chrétiennes que musulmanes, qui l’ont aidée dans son voyage. Elle a reconnu les prières des Sœurs et des autres afin qu’elle puisse retourner en toute sécurité aux Philippines.

La sera del 25 giugno 2023, Sor Lydia Rubin, FdCC,  sorella missionaria del Sudan – Africa è arrivata sana e salva a Manila, nelle Filippine. È stata accolta con affetto da Sor Violeta Calingasan della Comunità Paco. Il giorno dopo, è stata accolta da Sor Lilia Nuesca, FdCC, la Provinciale e le Sorelle della Comunità Paco.

sr Lydia ha ricordato come ha viaggiato con due compagni, un salesiano e una suora carmelitana nella festa del Sacro Cuore per raggiungere Juba, in Sud Sudan, dove hanno aspettato il loro aereo. Era molto grata a molte persone gentili e generose, sia cristiane che musulmane, che hanno facilitato il suo viaggio. Ha riconosciuto la forza delle preghiere delle sorelle e di altri amici per poter tornare in sicurezza nelle Filippine.
