The Sisters of the Canossian Community in Lweza
On 27th November 2021, we celebrated at Lweza Parish – Kampala, the Golden Jubilee of our presence in Uganda since 1971. We thank Our Master who has journeyed with us and together with our brothers and sisters.
THANK YOU, LORD was the theme, for the celebration and we are indeed grateful to Him for the gift of our vocation and for the gift of mission handed down to us through St. Magdalen and the mothers who landed to this mission land to make Jesus known and loved.
On this same day we were blessed with the fruits of the land, the sisters who made their perpetual commitment: Sr. Susan Stella Nalule and Sr. Teddy Naigino and Sr. Theopista Tibamwenda who celebrated her silver jubilee in religious life. As the entire family we pray through our dear Mother Mary, St. Magdalene and St. Bakhita that we may faithfully live the charism and mission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
