Messa e intronizzazione accompagnati dal rumore del mare
In un pomeriggio soleggiato d’autunno, con un cielo tinto di azzurro come il manto della Madonna e al suono delle onde che cullavano il mare, siamo stati accolti, a braccia aperte, nella villa balneare di Pehuen- Có.
È una località del Partito del Colonnello di Marina Leonardo Rosales a 69 km da Punta Alta, la città bonaerense dove opera l’Istituto “Canossiano Sacro Cuore”. Qui, tra dune e boschetti di eucalipto e pini centenari, si erge la Cappella “Sagrada Familia” frequentata sia dalla gente del posto, ma anche dai turisti che nelle incantevoli spiagge vivono momenti di pace. Inoltre, nella Riserva Naturale Pehuen-Có-Monte Hermoso, si trovano tracce di fossili di una fauna estinta circa 12.000 anni fa.
Noi Madri Canossiane insieme ai laici, ai docenti e agli alunni dell’istituto, in occasione del 90 anniversario dell’arrivo a Pehen-co, ricordiamo con gioia e gratitudine l’inizio della nostra missione in questa terra americana: far conoscere Gesù! Dopo esserci incontrati nel pomeriggio, all’ingresso del balneario, tutta la famiglia Canossiana ci siamo diretti, con le macchine, verso la cappellina per celebrare insieme la santa Messa. Il suono dei clacson ha accompagnato il nostro viaggio, insieme alle bandiere e ai quadri di Santa Maddalena di Canossa e Santa Giuseppina Bakhita. Il tutto si è concluso vivendo fraternamente un momento di convivialità. Siamo certi che il sorriso di Santa Maddalena e Santa Bakhita benediranno tutti coloro che desidereranno avvicinarsi e partecipare alle Celebrazioni nella Cappellina della “Sagrada Familia”.

Mass and enthronement accompanied by the sound of the sea
On a sunny autumn afternoon, with a sky tinged with blue like the mantle of Our Lady and the sound of the waves that cradled the sea, we were welcomed, with open arms, in the seaside villa of Pehuen-Có. It is a locality of the side of Colonel of Marina Leonardo Rosales 69 km from Punta Alta, the Bonaerense city where the “Canossian Sacro Cuore” Institute operates. Here, among dunes and groves of eucalyptus and centenary pines, stands the “Sagrada Familia” Chapel frequented both by the locals, but also by tourists who live moments of peace on the enchanting beaches. In addition, in the Pehuen-Có-Monte Hermoso Nature Reserve, there are traces of fossils of a fauna that became extinct about 12,000 years ago.
We the Canossian Sisters together with the laity, teachers and students of the institute, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of our arrival in Pehen-co, we remember with joy and gratitude the beginning of our mission in this American land: to make Jesus known! After meeting in the afternoon, at the entrance of the seaside, the whole Canossian family travelled in convoy headed to the chapel to celebrate Holy Mass together. The sound of car’s horns accompanied our journey, along with the flags and paintings of St. Magdalene of Canossa and St. Josephine Bakhita. Everything ended by spending time together as a family with moments of camaraderie in pleasant and relaxed manner. We are sure that the smile of St. Magdalene and St. Bakhita will bless all those who wish to stay near and participate in the Celebrations in the Chapel of the “Sagrada Familia”.
