(Ainaro) – From 18 to 20 June 2026, the Community of Saint Giuseppina Bakhita in Ainaro joyfully welcomed Mother Albertina Luís dos Santos, FDCC, on the occasion of the Canonical Visit, accompanied by Provincial Councillor Mother Carla Araújo.
The visit was marked by intense moments of prayer, fraternal dialogue, community meetings, personal conversations, visits to the educational and pastoral works, and an encounter with the Canossian Lay Associates. Through exchanges with the sisters, educators, young women and collaborators, Mother Albertina encouraged everyone to live the charism of Saint Magdalene of Canossa with renewed enthusiasm.
In her closing message, she recalled three fundamental priorities: to revitalise community life, to safeguard the communion of hearts, and to bear witness to a living and active charity, rooted in the Word of God and sustained by prayer.
This Canonical Visit was a true time of grace, discernment and spiritual renewal, strengthening the identity of the Community of Ainaro and its commitment to the educational and evangelising mission in service of the Church and the people of Timor-Leste.
