(Comoro) – From 15 to 19 June 2026, the Community of Saint Magdalene of Canossa in Comoro welcomed Mother Sandra Maggiolo, Mother General, accompanied by Mother Dulce Magno, Provincial Mother, with deep joy and gratitude, on the occasion of the Fraternal Canonical Visit.
During the five days of the visit, the Mother General met the sisters, students, teachers, collaborators, Canossian Lay and all the educational and pastoral areas of the community: the Clinic, the Kindergarten, the Primary and Secondary Schools, the Canossian Vocational Institute (IPDC), the girls’ boarding house and the General Directorate.
Through moments of prayer, dialogue, listening and sharing, the visit was a precious time of communion and renewal. In her message, Mother Sandra invited the entire educational community to live with courage, commitment and unity, educating not only minds, but above all hearts, according to the charism of Saint Magdalene of Canossa.
At the end of the visit, the Mother General entrusted the Community with five guiding words for the future: gratitude, mission, source, fraternity and future, encouraging everyone to cherish their vocation, strengthen fraternal communion and form people capable of serving the Church and society with competence, responsibility and an evangelical spirit.
The Fraternal Canonical Visit concluded in an atmosphere of deep communion, hope and renewed enthusiasm, strengthening the sense of belonging to the Canossian Family and the shared commitment to bear witness each day to the charity of Christ.
“Together to educate minds, touch hearts and witness the charity of Christ.”
