Jesus reveals the heart of the whole Law and the Prophets: love. When He is asked which commandment is the greatest, He teaches us that our faith is grounded in three inseparable realities: loving God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind, and loving our neighbour as ourselves.
When we love God sincerely, following His teachings, that love naturally overflows into the way we treat the people around us and the way we care for ourselves. We cannot truly love God while ignoring our neighbour, nor can we fully love others or ourselves without first receiving God’s unconditional love. Let us allow Jesus to live in our hearts. Amen.
