In the face of the terrible tragedy that has struck Colombia following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake on 10 August, which has left numerous dead, injured and affected families in Chocó, Cali, Pereira, Manizales and Quibdó, we wish to join in prayer for the entire Colombian people.
We lift up our prayers for those who have lost their lives, that the Lord may welcome them in his mercy; for the injured and their families, that they may find comfort and strength; and for the rescue teams, that God may illuminate and protect their work.
We invite you to join this chain of prayer for Colombia. May our faith and solidarity also be a sign of hope for those who are suffering today.

Prayer for Colombia
Lord, today we lift up our prayer for Colombia and for each of its inhabitants who has lived through moments of anguish and fear because of the earthquake.
We ask you to stretch out your protecting hand over every family, to give strength to those who are afraid, comfort to those who have suffered losses, and protection to those who work to assist those affected.
May calm return to every home, may hope be stronger than fear, and may solidarity unite all Colombians at this time.
