(Nirmalashram) – The meeting on society and finances at Nirmalashram (Rishikesh, in the state of Uttarakhand, India), held on 9 July, began with prayer, followed by a warm welcome and an inspiring address by Sr Audrey D’Souza, Provincial Superior. She encouraged reflection on the call to be faithful stewards of the common good, living with prudence, responsibility and transparency, and invited the participants to become ‘new wineskins’, open to the newness of the Spirit.
Sr Meena gave a rich and in-depth presentation on the Society and how it works, highlighting the good work carried out through the communities and apostolic works. Afterwards, the property of the Province, legal aspects and financial responsibilities were explored in greater depth, followed by fruitful exchanges on budgets, FCRA and current issues. Sr Bindu Varghese and Sr Catherine Gonsalves enriched the discussions by sharing their valuable expertise and experience in financial administration.
