(Tiwi Islands) – From 2nd to 5th July, the community of the Tiwi Islands was blessed with the presence of Sr Albertina Dos Santos, member of the General Council, for the canonical visit. It was a precious moment of personal and communal encounter, as well as a time of renewal for each of the Sisters.
There were many moments of sharing daily life and the different ministries in which each Sister is involved: Sr Monique, Sr Val and Sr Amelia truly experienced God’s presence through Sr Albertina’s visit.
The General Councillor encouraged them to continue promoting the unity of hearts and to be a visible sign of God’s love for their Tiwi brothers and sisters.
At the end of the encounter with Sr Albertina, the Sisters shared that this had been a particularly precious time for strengthening the love that unites them with one another and with all the other Sisters of the Institute, as one Canossian family.
