(Darwin) – The community of Darwin had the joy of welcoming Sr Josemary Keelath, General Councillor, for the Canonical Visit from 3rd to 5th July. The visit began in the afternoon with an opening prayer, followed by a community meeting.
Over the course of the three days, the Sisters had numerous moments of personal encounter with the Councillor, who also visited and got to know the community’s various apostolic works. During this time of grace, the Sisters listened deeply to one another and allowed the Holy Spirit to bring forth the deepest desires of each one, of the community and of the Delegation.
Sr Josemary encouraged them to ‘re-centre, reconnect, rebuild and renew hope, and the commitment to make Jesus known, in the spirit of St Magdalene.’
On Sunday, after Holy Mass, this time of grace came to a close with a final prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord, who visited the community through the presence of Sr Josemary.
