Many times, when we look at the world around us, we ask ourselves how it is possible that those who do wrong seem, at least on the surface, to prosper. We ask what the meaning is of being honest and just.

This parable helps us understand that God works in His own time. Every good action and every just choice we make is like a grain of wheat destined for the granary of the Kingdom.

Saint Magdalene of Canossa lived in exactly this way: without expecting immediate results, she sowed education, care and charity among the poorest and the abandoned.

Our Canossian charism always invites us to ‘give more’ and not to allow discouragement to overcome us. On the contrary, it urges us to cultivate our spirit by sowing good works, values and virtues, trusting that God will make the fruit grow in His time.
