(Iliomar) – From 17 to 19 June 2026, the Canossian Community of Iliomar joyfully and gratefully welcomed Mother Melissa Dwyer, FDCC, General Councillor, on the occasion of the Fraternal Canonical Visit.
During the three days of the visit, Mother Melissa shared moments of prayer, listening and dialogue with the religious community and with the local community. She recalled that, although they live in different cultures and realities, all Canossian communities are united by the one charism of Saint Magdalene of Canossa and are called to live the mission with authenticity, communion and a spirit of service.
A particularly meaningful moment was the planting of a young tree in the community garden, a symbol of life, growth, hope and the commitment to safeguard and allow the Canossian charism to flourish.
The visit concluded in an atmosphere of fraternity and gratitude, leaving the Community of Iliomar with renewed enthusiasm to continue its educational and evangelising mission.
“One charism, one heart, one mission: walking together to bear witness to the love of Christ”.
