(Ermera) – From 17 to 19 June 2026, the Canossian Community of Christ the King in Ermera joyfully welcomed Mother Mariana Litmanovich, General Councillor, accompanied by Mother Maria Carvalho, FDCC, Provincial Councillor, on the occasion of the Canonical Visit.
Greeted with the traditional tara tais, songs and dances of Timorese culture, Mother Mariana met the sisters of the community, the Canossian Lay Associates, students, teachers and the parish community, sharing moments of prayer, listening and fraternity.
In her message, she encouraged everyone to live faithfully the charism of Saint Magdalene of Canossa, to invest in the formation of young people and to strengthen communion among religious, lay people and the Christian community. She also expressed deep gratitude for the precious collaboration between the Parish and the Canossians in the educational and pastoral mission.
The Canonical Visit concluded in an atmosphere of joy and hope, renewing the commitment to walk together in faith, fraternity and service.
“United in the charism, let us build together a future of hope for young people and for the Church.”
