(Luanda) – On the occasion of Africa Day, celebrated on 25 May, Bakhita School in Golf Sapù organised a large cultural celebration, marked by colourful and engaging activities in tribute to this important observance.
To begin with, the organising committee assigned each class a specific country from North Africa. From Libya to Egypt, from Tunisia to Morocco, from Nigeria to Angola itself, and many other countries besides, the different groups set about representing, in the most imaginative, faithful and artistic way possible, the culture, dances and above all the cuisine of the country assigned to them.
The youngest pupils at the school were given the prestigious and special task of representing Angola itself, as the host country, highlighting the theme of hospitality throughout the various moments of the celebration.
The various presentations were judged and awarded by a special panel, all within an atmosphere of joy and cooperation. It was a very beautiful and educational event, bringing together teachers, pupils and families in a joyful cultural celebration for both children and adults.
