(Rome) — On 8 May, the feast of Saint Magdalene of Canossa, Mother Sandra Maggiolo and the General Council addressed a message to all the sisters, fathers, lay Canossians and friends of Magdalene.
In their reflection, they invite the Canossian Family to renew its gaze upon the charism received and to return to the source of the Canossian vocation: Jesus Christ, love-gift, who sustains, inspires and gives hope even in times marked by uncertainty and division. The message reminds us that belonging today to the Canossian Family means continuing to see what others do not see, drawing close to those living on the margins, and building relationships where others raise walls.
It is an invitation to live charity with simplicity, fidelity and courage, through the small daily gestures that can give rise to hope and make the Gospel present in the everyday life of each day.
