The formation programme will unfold through a series of sessions led by experts who will address today’s major global crises, all of which are interconnected and represent serious threats to human dignity, human rights, and the integrity of creation as a whole.
Numerous members of many Congregations will participate in the seminar, both in person and online. Representing the Institute of the Canossian Daughters of Charity at the workshop will be Sr Angela Sartori and Sr Lavina D’Souza.
These days will offer an opportunity for learning, reflection and collaboration among consecrated men and women, with the aim of strengthening together the commitment of the Canossian Sisters to Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation. It will also be a valuable occasion to renew the shared desire to build relationships of fraternity and hope, contributing to the promotion of paths of peace and care for all creation.
JPIC — Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation — is an orientation present in the life and mission of many religious institutes. It arises from the awareness that the proclamation of the Gospel is inseparable from the promotion of human dignity, the building of peace, and the care of creation. It entails reading social, economic and environmental realities in the light of faith, recognising injustices and the root causes of inequality, and committing to concrete choices and actions that foster more just, fraternal and sustainable relationships.
