To deepen students’ understanding of the Canossian spirit and to encourage them to emulate the virtues of the Foundress, St. Magdalene of Canossa, particularly her profound charity and humility, a formation programme for Primary 5 Catholic students from all Canossian Primary Schools was held on 29 November 2025. The theme of this gathering, “We Are Canossians,” reflected the commitment to nurturing the values instilled by St. Magdalene.

The programme took place at Sacred Heart Canossian School on Caine Road and brought together an enthusiastic group of 160 students. Throughout the day, various activities were organised to foster a sense of community among the participants. Interactive sessions encouraged students to reflect on how they could live out the spirit of the Foundress in their daily lives.

The programme concluded with a Thanksgiving Mass, during which the celebrant, Rev. Paul Kam, emphasised the importance of being attentive to one’s surroundings and actions, encouraging students not to fear failure but to view it as an opportunity for learning. He also urged them to pray constantly and to trust in God, reminding them to remain faithful to the Foundress’s motto, “God Alone.”

This initiative not only strengthened the sense of unity among students but also encouraged them to put “charity and humility” into practice and to recognise the presence and love of God in their daily situations.

It is hoped that the Lord will continue to bless and guide them, so that they may glorify God through their thoughts, words, and deeds.
