Dreaming, planning and journeying together were important aspects this weekend at Casa Madre, Verona, as young people and Sisters began the formation program for Canossian international volunteering 2025/2026.
Friday evening and Saturday the Sisters took time to reflect and plan together for the next twelve months, exploring ways to offer various opportunities to youth from Italy and around the world.
On Sunday 26th October, young people gathered at Casa Madre to share together their hopes and dreams for Canossian international volunteering. Following an introductory moment of prayer and getting to know each other, the day was divided into three parts. Firstly, Sr Melissa shared on the Canossian Charism and how the Charismatic family reaches out in 32 countries across the globe. The second session saw volunteers who journeyed to Brazil and Malawi in August 2025 sharing their experience of service in the various Canossian missions. Finally, members of the Fondazione Canossiana VOICA team shared about the collaboration in mission with various projects and distance adoption around the world.
The next step on the journey of preparing for volunteer service in 2026 will be a meeting on Saturday December 6th, 2025.
