This visit reminded us of St. Magdalene’s great love and her desire to make Jesus known and loved everywhere. Sr. Sandra, our Mother General, encouraged us to think deeply: What if St. Magdalene were here with us today? What would she do? How would she respond to the needs around us?
Sr. Sandra challenged us to reflect deeply and not remain complacent in the face of the changes required of us. We are called to safeguard the charism and identity entrusted to us and to pass it on in its fullness. To do so, we must move forward as one united Canossian Family, rooted in the Word of God, which inspires and strengthens us.
This visit renewed our hearts and strengthened our commitment to live with love and purpose. As we look ahead, let us carry on our mission—to bring hope, kindness, and the light of Christ to everyone, especially those in greatest need. Together, we honor the legacy of St. Magdalene, sharing her love and striving to make a difference, one heart at a time. Always, we are called to be MORE, making charity alive as we carry our name—Daughters of Charity, Servants of the Poor.
May this celebration usher us together as we joyfully commemorate the birth of Jesus, the true reason for the season. As we reflect on His love and humility, may our hearts be filled with renewed devotion, inspiring us to continue sharing His light with those around us.
