In continuity with last Sunday’s Gospel, we rediscover the strength of prayer, this time joined with trust and surrender.
Jesus withdraws to pray alone, in silence. Meanwhile, the disciples were at sea when the storm broke out. Yet their greatest fear came when they saw Jesus walking on the water, without recognizing him.
When doubt invades the soul, everything seems caught in a storm, until Jesus returns to the boat.
Without Jesus, storms bring fear and insecurity. Moving forward with Him, even in the midst of the storm, means doing so with calm and peace.
