(Dili) – On 31 May, a meeting of the VOICA Timor-Leste Group was held. One of the main topics discussed during the meeting was the preparation for the upcoming canonical visit of the Mother General of the Canossian Sisters and her Counsellors, from Rome, Italy, who will be in Timor-Leste from 15 to 30 June. This moment represents an important opportunity for communion, dialogue, and accompaniment for all the religious sisters and the people involved in the Canossian mission in the country.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the VOICA-TL Group gathered in the Mothers’ Chapel, at the Community of Becora in Dili, to pray the Holy Rosary together. The prayer was offered especially for all the girls, that they may grow in faith, hope, and human and Christian values, accompanied by the protection of the Virgin Mary.
Later, in a spirit of fraternity and joy, a simple but meaningful celebration was held to mark the birthdays of Mrs. Maria Carvalho and her colleague Balun, both born in the month of May. The participants expressed their best wishes for health, peace, and abundant blessings for the new year of life, sharing a moment of fellowship that further strengthened the bonds of friendship and collaboration within the group.
The meeting concluded with feelings of gratitude and renewed enthusiasm for continuing the shared path of service, prayer, and commitment in support of the young women and the community.
