Lucknow) All the schools of the India North Province celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026. The occasion was marked with thoughtfully organized programmes held during the morning assembly, centered on the meaningful theme, “Save Earth, Save Life”. The celebration aimed not only at awareness but also at inspiring students to become active guardians of the environment.
The assembly began with a prayer invoking gratitude for the gift of nature and seeking wisdom to protect it. This was followed by short but impactful skits performed by the students, which depicted the consequences of environmental neglect and the urgent need for sustainable living. Through simple yet powerful storytelling, the skit conveyed how human actions affect the balance of nature and how small changes can make a big difference.
Students enthusiastically participated in painting and drawing activities, expressing their creativity and concern for the planet. Their artwork beautifully illustrated themes such as pollution control, conservation of resources, protection of wildlife, and the importance of planting trees. These visual expressions served as a reminder that young minds are deeply aware and capable of contributing to a greener future.
The programme also included recitations of poems that reflected love for the Earth and a sense of responsibility towards preserving it. The students delivered their pieces with sincerity, touching upon issues like climate change, deforestation, and the need for harmony between humanity and nature.
A significant highlight of the assembly was the pledge taken by all present. Students and staff alike committed themselves to adopting eco-friendly habits such as reducing waste, conserving water, planting trees, and respecting all forms of life. This collective promise reinforced the message that protecting the Earth is a shared duty.
Overall, the Earth Day celebration was meaningful and inspiring. It not only educated students about environmental issues but also encouraged them to take practical steps in their daily lives. The programme successfully instilled a deeper sense of responsibility and reminded everyone that caring for the Earth is essential for the well-being of present and future generations.
