Youth Ministry
Walking with young people, in search of meaning and future
Canossian youth ministry stems from the desire to accompany young people on their journey of growth, helping them discover the beauty of their own lives and the plan God envisions for each of them. It’s not about offering ready-made answers, but about walking together, sharing questions, hopes and concrete choices, in the simple and approachable style that characterizes the spirituality of Saint Magdalene of Canossa.
As consecrated women, the Canossian Sisters choose to stand alongside young people as traveling companions: listening, encouraging and offering spaces in which they can grow humanly and spiritually. In keeping with Pope Francis’ invitation to believe in the strength and creativity of the new generations, youth ministry becomes a place of encounter, where faith dialogues with real life and the challenges of the present.
The figure of Saint Magdalene still speaks to young people today. She too, as a young woman, experienced a time of searching, questioning and courageous choices. Sensitive to the needs of her time, capable of being in the world without ceasing to seek God, she transformed her life into a gift for others. Her experience continues to inspire a journey that invites us to live fully, generously and responsibly.
