YOUNG PEOPLE
We, as Canossians, consecrated women…
we are attentive to “you” who “are young” because we wish to be involved in your growth as your traveling companions.
Together with you, as your friends, we want to be involved in the undertaking of giving glory to God.
Let us share in the sentiments of Pope Francis and make ours his words:
We present to you Saint Magdalene Gabriella of Canossa, our Foundress, a young woman like you who knew how to love… who lived a time full of searching, who asked herself, like you, why she came into the world and began to search for what gives challenges more her existence. She was a young woman with a generous and sensitive heart who let herself be questioned by God and by the poor of her time and dedicated herself, as a volunteer, towards those who suffer and need a hand.
This does not mean she abandoned the activities of her social class: she met important people, spoke the language of the nobility, was interested in the politics of the time, taking part in parties and dances… she became a protagonist of history!
