Listening to the Father

When we read this text, we usually ask ourselves: Who is Jesus for me? What would I answer if they asked me?
What follows Peter’s answer gives us a key to understanding: perhaps it is not up to us to answer, but rather to listen to the voice of the Father speaking to our heart.
Peter did just that, and Jesus entrusted him with the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
