(Oxley) – On 13 July, Sr Sandra Maggiolo, Sr Josemary Keelath, Sr Mariana Litmanovich and Sr Albertina Luis Dos Santos, members of the General Council, departed for Rome at the end of the Canonical Visit. On 9 July, all the sisters of the Delegation of Australia had gathered for the concluding meeting at the Magdalene Centre in Oxley.
The General Council led the final prayer and a reflection on an overview of the Institute. This sharing helped the sisters to feel that they fully belong to the precious Canossian family and to be filled with that hope which arises precisely from being united in the same Charism.
The fruit of the Canonical Visit confirmed the vitality of the sisters in their love for Christ, for community and for mission; they welcomed the opportunity to strengthen their vocation and to express fully the evangelical zeal to make Jesus known and loved. The concluding Mass of the Canonical Visit was celebrated by Fr Ray Sanchez, CP, spiritual director, during which the sisters thanked God for the gift of their vocation and, listening to the Holy Spirit, allow themselves to be guided towards a future of hope.
The sisters of the Oxley community expressed their gratitude to the general councillors for their visit and for the encouragement given to each one.
