San Juan City – On June 12, 2026, at the Novitiate Formation House in San Juan City, Metro Manila, a joyful and grace-filled celebration marked the Admission to the Novitiate of five postulants from different countries within our Canossian family: Santhana Sinnappan (Malaysia), Rose Yu Par and Teresa Nan Moon (Myanmar), Merilyn Hermosilla (Philippines), and Selviana Fuok (Indonesia).
The rite was attended by the Provincial Leaders who officially accepted their respective postulants into the novitiate: Sr. Estrella Vasquez Vasquez(PhilippinesβPNG Province), Sr. Christin Low (Malaysia), and Sr. Geraldine Tan (SingaporeβMyanmar). They were joined by the members of the Novitiate Community and several sisters who gathered to witness and celebrate this important step in the vocational journey of the candidates.
Through the rite of admission, the postulants publicly expressed their desire to deepen their commitment to Christ and to continue their formation as Canossian novices. It was a moment of gratitude, hope, and renewed trust in Godβs loving call.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the three Provincial Leaders entrusted the newly admitted novices to the care of Sr. Maricriz Manila, Novice Directress, assuring her of their prayers, support, and fraternal accompaniment as she guides the novices during this formative stage of their religious life.
As an Institute, we give thanks to God for the precious gift of these vocations. May the Lord continue to bless our new novices with courage, fidelity, and joy as they journey more deeply in following Christ Crucified. Let us keep them in our prayers and ask for the intercession of St. Magdalene of Canossa that they may persevere faithfully in their vocation and become living witnesses of Godβs love in the world.
