From January 17 to February 3, 2025, we had the honor of hosting Sisters Ana Duje, Edel, and Gladys from the Argentina-Paraguay Province in Brazil for an experiential exchange program organized as part of our Canossian Conference of America. The primary goal of this initiative was to prepare our Sisters for the profession of perpetual vows, a moment of spiritual consolidation and long-term commitment to the mission. The Sisters involved in this journey were Ana Marta (Brazil), Gladys (Paraguay), and Edel (Argentina).

On January 14, once they arrived in São Paulo, the Sisters traveled to Araras, where the Mothers of the Province of Our Lady of Aparecida were gathered for their Annual Assembly.

On January 16, the group embarked on a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida, experiencing a profound time of prayer, solidarity with fellow pilgrims, Eucharistic celebrations, and visits to the Sanctuary—an opportunity for collective spiritual renewal.

On January 17, the program continued with a journey to Jacutinga – Minas Gerais, where the Sisters began their advanced formation under the guidance of Sister Aparecida Marques from the Minas Gerais Formation Institute. From January 18 to 21, the meeting focused on themes of human, spiritual, and charismatic growth. The development process was further enriched with a period of training in Ilhabela, from January 25 to 30, accompanied by Sister Regina, Provincial Vicar, and Sister Maria de Nazaré, Provincial Councillor.

The education cycle concluded on February 1 and 2 with a final session held in Araras-SP, led by Sister Manoela, Provincial Mother. During these days, the Sisters had the opportunity to solidify their spiritual preparation in anticipation of their Perpetual Profession.

In Campinas, they visited the headquarters of the Brazilian Province: a significant moment that allowed them to appreciate the commitment of the local community to the mission. On February 3, the Sisters completed this formative experience and joyfully departed for Argentina, ready to take the next steps in their journey of faith and dedication.

We are deeply grateful to God and Saint Magdalene of Canossa for this opportunity for growth, reflection, and preparation. We pray that our Sisters respond to their “YES” with generosity, passion, and a renewed missionary spirit, to make Jesus known and loved throughout the world.

Testimonies
Personal reflection from a junior sister:
“During the 22 days spent with the Sisters of the Province of Our Lady of Lujan (Argentina/Paraguay), I was able to experience the vibrant strength of Saint Magdalene’s charisma, which deeply touches the lives of people, especially the most vulnerable. The Canossian charisma knows no barriers, whether linguistic or cultural, and this greatly enriched my experience. I thank God and the Superiors who made this unique experience possible, and I pray that Jesus generously rewards every Sister who has supported this formation and spiritual growth commitment.
