I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me […] whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
These past months have proven to be though for the communities of South-East India, particularly in the Andra Pradesh and Odisha regions. The Codvid-19 pandemic hit hard these lands and the sick and poor of the society are at risk to be left behind. Facing such urgent challenges, the Canossian Sisters of the South-East India Delegation – fortified by the joy of the Gospel and Magdalene’s charisma – reacted by doubling down on the efforts to assist the communities who are in need.
